The Wedding Bootcamp is a 5-week intensive photography course designed to equip photographers with the skills and knowledge needed to capture stunning wedding images. This hands-on experience will include practical training, expert guest appearances, and a real-world simulated wedding photoshoot in a church. Whether you're an aspiring wedding photographer or a professional looking to refine your skills, this course will elevate your ability to shoot and edit wedding photography.

Duration: 5 weeks (1 session per week)

Cost: $200 per person (one payment for all 5 weeks)

Location: Local Studio (Weeks 1-4) & Church Venue (Week 5 - Simulated Wedding)

Course Structure:

Week 1: Introduction to Wedding Photography

• Topic Overview 
• Understanding the role of a wedding photographer 
• Overview of essential wedding day moments: getting ready, ceremony, first kiss, reception, ect.
• Heads-on learning: 
• Basics shooting exercises with your camera
• Composition and framing for wedding portraits

Week 2: Posing and Directing the Couple

• Topic Overview
• How to direct couples for natural, flatter poses
• Understanding the importance of movement and emotion in wedding photography with them to create beautiful, timeless wedding images.
• Guest Appearance
• Master photographer Rick Ferro will share tips on directing couples and working with them to create beautiful, timeless wedding images.
• Hands-on Learning
• Live practice of posing couples and bridal party members

Week 3: Capturing the ceremony & Reception

• Topic Overview:
• Techniques for capturing key moments of the ceremony without being intrusive
  Reception coverage: candid moments, speeches, dancing, and details Working in low-light environments and overcoming challenges |/15v Working with second shooters and assistants
• Guest Appearance:
  Rick Ferro will give a demonstration of his shooting style during a simulated
  ceremony.

Week 4: Editing Your Wedding Photos

• Topic Overview:
• Introduction to wedding photo editing workflows
• Basic retouching: color correction, skin smoothing, and enhancing details
• Using presets and LUTs for consistent wedding editing styles
  Image organization, culling, and delivering the final gallery
• Guest Appearance:
• Mr. Robert Vanelli, Worldwide Education Director for Skylum Software, will provide a live demo on editing wedding images using Skylum's Luminar software. Learn how to enhance your images efficiently and effectively.

Week 5: The Simulated Wedding Photoshoot

• Location: Church Venue
• Activity:
• A real-world, hands-on photoshoot simulating a wedding day.
• Participants will photograph a live couple during various stages of the ceremony and reception (mock event setup).
• Opportunity for one-on-one feedback from instructors and guests (Rick Ferro and Robert Vanelli).
